Min an-Nabiyy ila al-Bukhari

In this course we will be covering Min an-Nabiyy ila al-Bukhari - A Study of Hadith Preservation in the First Three Centuries of Islam by Dr. Ahmad Snobar. We will be going in depth about how the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ were preserved before the compilation of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and tracing the journey of the Sunnah through the generations of scholars who transmitted, preserved, and scrutinised ḥadīth. What we will explore: • How ḥadīth was preserved in the earliest generations • The origins of isnād and narrator criticism • The efforts of the scholars who safeguarded the Sunnah • A deeper appreciation of the journey from the Prophet ﷺ to Imām al-Bukhārī • ⁠An insight into the efforts of Imām al-Bukhārī in his famous Ṣaḥīḥ compilation
