Overview: This series is a maqra'ah of Imām Ājurrī’s Akhlāq al-ʿUlamāʾ — a beautiful short work on the character and mannerisms of scholars. In order for students of knowledge to succeed, it is crucial for them to be endowed with the etiquette that befits the status of the sciences they engage with. Short works like Akhlāq al-ʿUlamāʾ help draw a clearer picture and give us a guide as to how we should carry ourselves both in solitude and in public by shedding light upon the conduct of our pious predecessors, individuals who have mastered this art. Join us as we dive deeper into the lives of the scholars of the past and get a glimpse of how they conducted themselves with sincerity, grace and humility, regardless of the circumstance. Please note that these series are not official maqāriʾ or ijāzah-based readings, but fast-paced student-led readings of books on tazkiyah, raqāʾiq, and ḥadīth. The goal is to help students gain confidence in Arabic reading, benefit from classical texts, and stay consistent in seeking ʿilm — without the pressure of a formal setting.
