Overview: This series is a maqra’a of Imām Ibn al-Jawzī’s timeless work Ḥifẓ al-ʿUmr — a reminder on safeguarding every moment of our lives. As Muslims, and especially as students of knowledge, it is easy to get lost in the technicalities and forget our true goal. Staying connected with texts that remind us of the short, temporal nature of our lives and motivate us to make the most of the time that we have been granted is essential. Join us as we explore Imām Ibn al-Jawzī's work covering how we can remain constantly conscious of our actions and abstain from letting the deceptions of this world destroy our eternal abode. Please note these series are not official maqāriʾ or ijāzah-based readings, but fast-paced student-led readings of books on tazkiyah, raqāʾiq, and ḥadīth. The goal is to help students gain confidence in Arabic reading, benefit from classical texts, and stay consistent in seeking ʿilm — without the pressure of a formal setting.
